It’s official…
My brains have packed up and gone home.
Donations of spare grey matter gratefully accepted.
I feel like I’m living here…
I was in the office on Saturday, and I’m here again now.
Think of the money, think of the money…
Entertain me, someone, please.
Verdict: Rock!
Guitar Hero for the PS2 is one of the most awesome things ever. If slightly hand-crippling.
So, the important question is: who do I know (in London) that also owns a copy? Because until there is a head to head rock contest in my living room, I shall remain sadly unfulfilled.
[Charidee] Slightly less gentle reminder:
There are still a number of people who said they’d stump up for Charidee if I shaved my head, and haven’t.
I’ve shaved it three times now, with a fourth on the way tomorrow, so really, there’s not a lot of room for people to say they didn’t know I’d done it.
The form at http://www.justgiving.com/get_a_haircut_hippy will close on the 2nd of June. I’m afraid it’s not practical for me to accept donations any other way.
I had pondered threatening to name and shame anyone who’d pledged, but didn’t stump up. But I don’t think that’s in the right sort of spirit.
So just this: a couple of people already made their apologies for one reason or another, and that’s absolutely fair enough. I completely understand that circumstances change between pledging and donating, and that one can’t always do what one wants, or that it might be awkward for some reason for some people to pay on-line. But I’ll think a hell of a lot less of anyone that pledged that doesn’t either stump up, or get in touch just so I know not to expect their cash. No excuses or apologies required, just let me know not to expect anything, please…
[X-men movie] In more social news
Several people have been organising trips to go see X-men 3 in the next few days. Is it too late for me to insinuate myself onto one of them? Anyone? Bueller?
Soundtrack meme…
Opening Credits
Alan Moore – Syon
Evidentally, the story of my life is a mentalist art house thing, if it’s going to open with a ten minute mediation on transcendence.
(Edit, post finishing: Yes. When they come to make the movie of my life, I will have apparently been mostly all fucked up on drugs. It’s skewed Crusty where Trainspotting went Dance, I think. Either way, this is all a bit fucked up, and I would like to get it cast now, in the hope that they can go and live it so I don’t have to.)
Notice:
It is very important that you go here and read the first ten pages of Phonogram issue #1, on sale, erm, some time soon.
Because it’s quite funny. And slightly interesting. And the art isn’t bad.
Focus Shift
Or rather, shift back. I span the not directly new media related links off into another site a short while ago. I don’t feel it’s worked, so they’re coming back here. Expect more links, and it means the focus of this thing shifts back to “shit that interests me”, rather than just “new media/webtech”, although since that’s my main interest, it just means it’s liable to be a bit more holistically culture/futurism/media/cheap laughs centered, rather than just techy crap.
