cairmen, who put me up, and really lovely to see everyone else, however briefly, insert all the usual “must not leave it so long next time” stuff, which is, as ever, sincerely meant, but well, let’s be realistic – I head North once every 18 months or so at best. Have started going through the photos, but it’ll take me a while to get them properly sorted.
But it’s back to work tomorrow, and I ought to make some kind of stab at catching up on my sleep, because there definitely wasn’t enough good, sober, rest in that holiday. What a shame.
